I actually can’t conclude whether or not I would’ve favored this episode to be significantly longer to exist by any means. From one viewpoint, Danner’s story, similar to Zoë’s last week, neglected to add any new parts of the whodunit puzzle. It’s great to consider Zoë to be some different option from the shimmering object of different horndogs’ dreams and to comprehend Danner as somebody whose horrendous encounters with the LAPD are molding her way to deal with the Xavier case. Yet, for the reasons for a restricted homicide secret series, wouldn’t we have gotten more out of a Jenn No. 1 cross examination or, hell, even a half-hour talk with that lustful chem instructor (assuming he could pry his lips off Quiet Heather sufficiently long to say something)? One more piece of me, however, tracked down Danner’s story excessively profound to fit serenely inside a half-hour comedic riff on Law and Order-type procedurals and needed to see her part broadened. Or then again perhaps what I really need is for the Danner story to get its own series; in this one, her record of primary debasement in the police force sits pretty darn precariously close by episodes about Brett’s challenging for vehicles and Yasper’s text-circles songs.
