After months of delay, the 25th James Bond Film is finally here in “There is no time to die,” an epic action film (163 minutes!) Which presents 007 with one of the toughest missions: End the era given by most people Just live to one of the most iconic film characters of all time. Everyone knows that this is the last film Daniel Craig as bonds, and “no time to die” needs to be entertaining with its own requirements, providing a sense of finality for this chapter of character, and even instructions in future spies with a license to kill. It will also help a little to clean some chaos left by “Specter,” a film that is widely considered disappointing.
All boxes that need to be checked seem to drag down “There is no time to die,” which lives in the right and starts, usually through several directions to knock actions quickly from Director Cary Joji Fukunaga, but finally plays it too safe and too familiar from the first frame to the last. Even when it closed the characters that began many years ago, it felt like a film with too little at stake, a film produced by a machine fed 24 flicks before and was programmed to spit out the biggest hits package.
Long lost were the days when the new bond film felt like it began the character and universe as an independent action film. “There is no time to die” seems to cut more than the Marvel Cinematic model of the interesting universe from the previous entry to create the impression that everything that happened here was planned so far. You don’t really have to see the four previous films, but it’s almost impossible to appreciate this if you haven’t (especially “specter,” which is a very direct sequel).
So, of course, we start with Vesper, who love the life of bonds from “Casino Royale.” After opening a very smart and fast classic for Madeleine Swann (Lea Seydoux), the film follows James and Madeleine in Italy, where she was finally sure to go see the tomb of the woman who continued to haunt her. It exploded. Is this the instruction that the Creator “There is no time to die” will blow up their foundation and provide a new definition of bonds? Not too, even though the sequence of pursuits / expanded shooting that follows is one of the best of the film. (This really makes me pre-credit.)
